Beauty is measured by parameters and scales. The so-called "STANDARDS" of society. A range of fairness from dusky to fair where being fair means being beautiful, so Fair & Lovely became so popular. There must be an average height (average varies based on grooms shortlisted by your parents). Please note that slim is the only STANDARD you need to maintain. That's how BEAUTY is viewed.
Education/ It is merely an add-on. It's good to have, but it's not a necessity. Your dreams are hardly going to make a difference to the person whom you are going to marry. The belief system says that aspirational women do not make good mothers.
