Attain balance in life via Response-Ability

Ok google. Help me with word “Responsibility”.

Google- Responsibility: Overview, Examples, Similar or opposite words, Pronunciation.

Google- Responsibility means a duty to deal with something so that “it is your fault” if something goes wrong.

As I ponder this, a question lingers in my mind - if things go right, does the responsibility still rest upon us? Who defines these responsibilities and how do they come to be?

In the tapestry of life, I've observed varied instances. Some tasks are deemed an individual's responsibility, while others are shared duties. For instance, my father steps into the kitchen to assist my mother, yet it doesn’t diminish her responsibility for the household. Similarly, a male colleague of mine transitioned to a less demanding job to support his wife and family. This doesn’t negate the fact that his wife took a hiatus from her career for three years.

Is it about the tasks themselves, the reasons behind them, or the nature of force or choice that determines responsibility? It seems like a complex interplay of who does what, why it’s done, and whether it’s a voluntary effort or a forced one.

Often, the reluctance to assume responsibility stems from the fear of being held accountable. We shy away from it, not wanting to be proven wrong. It raises the question - what about those who fear being held responsible? They vehemently deny their accountability, finding fault in everything and everyone but themselves.

In some situations, a single person shoulders the entire burden, managing the intricate web of life for everyone involved. It's not just about maturity, understanding, or inherent responsibility. It's about having the courage to be accountable.

Responsibilities seem to be bestowed upon those who feel responsible. If not, we're quick to point fingers at celestial objects, fate, or other external factors. We forget that, in the end, it's our choices, actions, and the bravery to accept responsibility that truly define us.
